Zircons - Bronx, New York

Nutmegs - New Haven, Connecticut

Velvet Angels - Jersey City, New Jersey

Excellons

Info provided by Stevie Dunham/Las Vegas - May 2004

THE EXCELLONS WERE THE EXCELLENTS OF "CONEY ISLAND BABY" FAME. JOHN
> KUSE SINGS LEAD ON "SUNDAY KIND OF LOVE" AND "HELENE" (BOBBY LABEL)
> LEASED TO RELIC. "HELENE" IS THE FLIP AND AN ORIGINAL BY THE GROUP.

Camelots

Info provided by Stevie Dunham/Las Vegas - May 2004

THE CAMELOTS ARE FROM BROOKLYN, NY. AND RECORDED FOR EMBER
"POCAHONTAS" IN THE LATE 50'S. THEY ALSO RECORDED AS THE CUPIDS FOR
THE JEROME BROS. KC LABEL--"BRENDA" BOTH CUTS ARE WITH MUSIC. THE
ALSO RECORDED FOR CAMEO "DON'T LEAVE ME BABY", TIMES SQUARE, AND
RELIC. THE RELIC SIDES ARE ACTUALLY THE RECORDINGS FROM TIMES
SQUARE. THEY WERE LEASED TO RELIC.
(EVENTUALLY RELIC BOUGHT THE TIMES SQUARE CATALOG)

Kooltones - Pretenders - Barons

Info provided by Stevie Dunham/Las Vegas - May 2004

AS FAR AS THE KOOLTONES, BARONS, AND PRETENDERS GO. I BELIEVE THEY
ARE ALL THE SAME GROUP. JUST GIVEN DIFFERENT NAMES PROBABLY BY
EDDIE GRIES. ( THIS PRACTICE WAS DONE ON THE TIMES SQUARE ACAPPELLA
ALBUM)

Youngones - Brooklyn, New York - 1964 - Eddie Naverez (18) Lead, Steve Barrientas (18) 1st Tenor, Edgar Hernandez (20) 2nd Tenor, Joe Leone (18) Baritone.

Delstars

Info provided by Stevie Dunham/Las Vegas - May 2004

I CAN'T REMEMBER THE INFO ON THE DELSTARS. ONE OF THE GUYS IN THE
GROUP WAS THE BROTHER OF A GUY WHO WAS IN THE DELROYS OF "BERMUDA
SHORTS" FAME. I THINK HIS NAME IS RONALD COLEMAN. THEY RECORDED
FOR 4 SIDES FOR MELLOMOOD.

Chessmen - Manhattan - 1964 - James Myers (17) Lead, William Ramirez (16) 1st Tenor, Ted Ziffer (18) 2nd Tenor, Tommy Reyes (16) Baritone, Arthur Crank (19) Bass.

Savoys -

Citadels

Orangeburg, New York - 1965 - Dennis Ostrom (18), Steve Paglierani (18), Peter Cacciamani (19) and Jane Eckerson (16).

Holidays

Rockaway Beach, New York - 1965 - Mike Wendroff - Lead, Dave Rossman - Bass, Dennis Spinelli - 1st Tenor, Steve Baron - 2nd Tenor, Larry Sarica - Baritone.

Shadows

Info provided by Stevie Dunham/Las Vegas - May 2004

THE SHADOWS ARE THE 5 JADES WHO HAD AN ALBUM ON RELIC "VELVET SOUL
FOR LOVERS ONLY" I BELIEVE THE 1O COMMANDMENTS OF LOVE CAME OUT ON
'MELLOMOOD' ORIGINALLY. THIS WAS BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE ALBUM.
THEY WERE FROM THE BRONX.
